Traits
Contractual Boss Resistance: The Adversary is resistant to effects that would rob them of their free will, teleport them, read/detect their thoughts, or nullify this effect unless they allow it. If necessary to translate to mechanics, this counts as two Flaws dice.
Grievous Wounds: This creature inflicts Grievous Wounds with certain attacks. This is a unique condition; when it reaches three stacks, it resets and the target takes 2*Level true damage. Lasts until a short rest.
Familiar (Companion): The Iron General is joined by a familiar that occupies the same square. It has a single minor action on each of the Iron General’s turns with which it may Aim, Avert, or Assail for them. It shares the same AC/resistances and has no HP, but is Incapacitated (2 rounds) if hit.
Royal Drones (Companion): The Iron General is accompanied by drones that occupy the same square. They start the strife with no drones. They share the same AC/resistances but has no HP and is slain if hit. There may be up to three drones at one time.
War Training (officer): Whenever this creature uses a unit with War Training (army) as cover, it has +4 to the cover bonuses, but any attacks that miss automatically hit that covering unit.
Actions
Moonforged Shotblaster: Major action - Ranged weapon attack, sagitta, 40 ft. range, single-target, 6 damage, Push (10 feet), ignores penalty for ranged attacks in melee, summons one Drone companion, has an additional effect based on the aerial support called.
Drone Strike: Mark the targeted location. The attack repeats for an auto-hit against all targets within 10 ft. of it at end of target’s next turn.
Tremor Rounds: Mark the targeted location. The target cannot use move actions within 10 ft. of it until end of target’s next turn.
Thunder Run: Mark the targeted location. The attack repeats for an auto-hit against all targets more than 10 ft. away from it at end of target’s next turn. Warp Jaunt: Major action - Martial ability, the Iron General Dashes with Shadewalk, heals themselves for 1 HP, grants themselves 1 temp HP, summons one Drone companion, and their attacks next turn have +1 damage mod and inflict 1 stack of Grievous Wounds. Royal Arts: Special - When the Iron General Aims, they take advantage instead. When they Avert, they impose disadvantage instead. When they Assail, it also inflicts Daze (1 round). When they Distract, it automatically passes and grants +3 crit range. Swarming Tide: Full-round action - Ranged weapon attack, 100 ft. range, single-target, auto-hit, 9 damage, requires 3 Drone companions, sacrifices all Drones on use.
Tactics
Shotblaster’s aerial support keeps the player moving. Build up Drones, but don’t aim to actually use Swarming Tide; they exist to ensure the player judiciously clears out those companions or suffer the consequences.
